Lake St. Charles is a 400-acre residential community in Riverview, Florida, that includes over 700 single-family residences and 40 maintenance-free villas in 12 distinct villages. It offers convenient access to several major highways, proximity to Florida’s beautiful Gulf Coast beaches, two children’s playgrounds, and 15 acres of outdoor park facilities, including a nature trail and facilities for soccer, baseball, basketball and tennis.

WEATHER-RESISTANT COMMUNITY AND NEIGHBORHOOD SIGNS

The Lake St. Charles community needed replacement entrance signs and wayfinding signs made from durable materials that could withstand exposure to the intense sun and humidity associated with the Florida climate.

They were also looking for a sophisticated aesthetic, featuring an elegant black background with gold copy.

DURABLE GRANITE SIGN PLAQUES WITH GOLD LEAF INLAY

Site Essentials consulted with community property management regarding various material choices that would achieve the aesthetic Lake St. Charles wanted. In addition to granite, they also considered synthetic solid surface materials, like Corian® and Staron®.

After careful consideration, Lake St. Charles asked Site Essentials to design, manufacture and install durable black granite sign plaques, enhanced by 23.5-karat gold leaf inlay, notable for its lasting beauty over painted surfaces.

The resulting effect is striking, a sophisticated, refined look appropriate for such an inviting Florida community. By selecting granite community and neighborhood signs, Lake St. Charles found a superior long-term value at a comparable cost to the synthetic materials previously used, which were not warranted for outdoor use.

Lake St. Charles considered several companies for their project, but Site Essentials was the only sign vendor that could provide granite signs at a comparable cost to signs made from less durable materials.

Arete representatives managed every detail of the project, not only design through installation, but also project permitting and removal and disposal of 23 existing outdoor signs.
