Panel signs, also known as post and panel signs, are a popular alternative to monument signs and are widely used for entrance signage as well as directional and wayfinding signs. Panel signs consists of a sign panel mounted between two posts, with the posts serving to support the sign face and mount the unit.
A wide range of materials are available for both the sign panel and the support posts. Popular sign panels choices are sandblasted granite, Routed HDU or plastic, cast aluminum, cast bronze or aluminum with printed or painted graphics. Posts for the sign units are generally selected based on what material is complimentary to the sign panel, as well as which option provides adequate support. Commonly used sign post materials include aluminum, recycled plastic and wood.
